Become a PSA Carer - How to Apply....

Becoming a PSA Carer is pretty straightforward.

You MUST love pets – direct responsibility for pets in your care and the ability to demonstrate good pet care skills is essential, however we also provide full induction training on general pet care, pet first aid, clean and sanitary environment management, Home security best practices, and Pet First Aid (amongst other ongoing course) to ensure that you are capable and confident in performing your role as a carer!

What PSA will need from you to become a registered PSA carer is the following:

• Have your own ABN you can apply for your ABN on line: (PSA pay your as a carer/contractors and you do your own tax stuff so you need an ABN)
• Have a current Police Background Check in your State or Territory. In most states you can apply at any Police Station. (You may want to check on line first to make sure) but generally you need three (3)  forms of ID. (Some States have their forms ‘on line’ so you can download these and complete them and get your ID together before you head off to the station.

• We then conduct a face to face interview with the applicant.

Once this is all done and have performed all of your training – you can become a PSA carer and as such, PSA covers you for Public Liability Insurance for all PSA work that you perform.

(All training is created and provided by a Cert IV TAA level trainer).
